Sound-adventures
for kids

With Amanda + Gregor who share the hat box apartment we rummage through the “noisemaker room“ searching for instruments from A to Z.
Let’s see if we can find an instrument for each letter…

So much has already been revealed:
There are more instruments in the “noisemaker room“ than letters in the alphabet.
Most of the instruments can be played loudly + softly, quickly + slowly.

Would you like to guess?

Which is the loudest instrument?

And which is the most quiet one?

Which is the largest instrument?

And which is the smallest one?

Which instrument is the heaviest to carry?

Who is living in the hat box apartment?

Klangreisen und Abenteuer für Kinder-Gregor

Gregor

Hat box apartment resident

Gregor, the little dragon, wants to be very brave when he’s grown up!
Until then, he’d rather be a little careful. Not only does he know the rules of the games well, he also makes sure that we keep our distance and wash our hands.
Gregor loves the quiet sounds.

Amanda

Hat box apartment resident

Amanda likes it loud – we finally live in the noisemaker room! And then she is also very, very, very CURIOUS! – She would like to try out every instrument straight away – without asking how it works and whether there is anything we need to pay attention to.

Playfully learning how to play the ukulele

In small groups or as individual
with Amanda + Gregor who share the hat box apartment.
Never seen or heard a ukulele up to now? Please watch the video.

What is an ukulele?

The ukulele only has 4 strings.
It is much easier to play than a guitar.
It is smaller + easier to transport than a guitar.
Ukuleles are affordable at a rather low price.
They are available in different sizes + tunings.
You‘ll get to know more detailed information here in the Klangzentrum Wesermarsch.

Music + movement

Drumming with djembés, bass drums + many small noisemaker instruments
We will pass the rhythm with boomwhackers
We can also make drum noises with our body = “body percussion”

In this “body percussion” there is a hidden butterfly.
Can you find it?
